VILLAGE

Village is a pediatric care platform that helps families and therapists work together to manage care collaboratively.

On a small team, I led the UI/UX and visual direction of the website, defining its layout, hierarchy, and narrative flow. The site was built as a modular system to ensure clarity, consistency, and scalability as the product evolved. Early concepts began with placeholder content and were refined in close collaboration with marketing, resulting in a cohesive, trust-forward experience for both caregivers and providers.

ROLE: CREATIVE DIRECTOR (FREELANCE)
RESPONSIBILITIES: UI/UX, VISUAL DIRECTION, DESIGN STRATEGY
TOOLS: FIGMA
COMPANY: VILLAGE
YEAR: 2025

Village began as a lightweight early-access site built primarily for sign-ups. As the product matured, it needed to become a scalable, trust-forward platform, one that could educate caregivers and therapists, express a two-sided care experience, and support long-term growth, even as the product’s visual language and messaging were still taking shape.

THE CHALLENGE

A scalable UI system was established for Village, including a component library, type hierarchy, and image direction that brought clarity and consistency to an evolving product. The work created a unified foundation designed to scale with the business while preserving the calm, human tone essential to a caregiving platform, helping the experience feel warm and distinctive in a space often defined by utilitarian healthcare design.
